The summer has been busy here at the Climate Action Business Association. From new member businesses to our policy operation, we chalk this summer up to a win in our books. Here’s a bit of a summer recap for you:

Longleaf Lumber is a reclaimed and antique lumber mill. They salvage woods from industrial, agricultural, and large residential buildings throughout the Eastern United States. Longleaf Lumber mills flooring, paneling, stair treads, mouldings, and other fine reclaimed wood products. They also retail other green building products such as cork and sustainable linoleum flooring.
Irving House is a quaint bed and breakfast in Cambridge offering uniquely cozy accommodations and a variety of amenities for our guests to enjoy. Built as a two-family house in the 1890’s, Irving House was converted to a bed and breakfast in the 1920’s with 44 unique guest rooms in a variety of sizes.

Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Massachusetts, Nexamp is among the Northeast’s largest commercial solar providers.

Somerville Sustainable Cleaning, LLC is a minority owned and operated, locally based commercial janitorial and facility services provider, serving the greater Boston area. Somerville Sustainable Cleaning has strong commitments to responsibility for environmental, social, economic, and labor issues.
Blu2Green recycles a material called blue wrap, which is a polypropylene fabric used to cover medical utensils prior to surgery. Blu2Green takes this material and hires people with disabilities to re-purpose it into sustainable products. All blue wrap that they re-purpose is guaranteed to be recycled responsibly.
